You ALREADY Have What It Takes

Have you ever felt frustrated that things are not just working as you expected? Wondering why others seem to get and have it all? Well you already have on the inside of you what it takes to live the life you want.

A seed is an embryonic plant enclosed in a protective outer covering. All the power that it needs to produce after its own kind is contained therein. You can keep the seeds of a tomato plant in a cup for a year and it won’t lead to any tomatoes because it’s in the wrong environment. Plant it in fertile soil and watch that power go to work, in about 12 weeks you will be harvesting tomatoes.

There is a story in the Bible that says:

“Then God said, “Let the land sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.” And that is what happened. The land produced vegetation—all sorts of seed-bearing plants, and trees with seed-bearing fruit. Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:11-12

So you can imagine that our source was very creative, he did not want to keep creating new things all the time, so he put a power within that ensured continual growth. 

Just like seeds, God has put within us everything that we need to live a successful life, we just need to be in the right environment. You see without fail, every year, spring always comes after winter, without fail, the sun comes up everyday. So as the seasons and days go changing all the time without fail, so are good times followed by bad times.

The difference is going to be “what did we do with our time?” Either during the good or the bad times. It’s been said “never waste the learnings from bad times”.

When I was at University I rented a room from a landlord who would not waste anything, I mean he would make soup from the old vegetables in the fridge and I would often throw mine away in the bin. He was an accountant by profession which made me think maybe he was a tight arse. His way of doing things was informed by his parents who lived through the Second World War, when things were tough and hard to come by. Through that experience they learnt from the bad times  “DON’T WASTE”.

It’s been said that all of nature grows into the fullness of their purpose to the exception of us humans.

You already have on the inside of you what it takes to live the life you want. Like I mentioned earlier if a seed is left in the wrong environment it will just stay there in seed form, although it has the life form on the inside and just needs the right environment.
